Padmasambhava prescribed a special practice for the dark age when there would be many wars and other tragic deaths. Those who die in such circumstance experience great shock and fear. Unless they are awakened from their illusions, the fear will continue in their mindstreams and create future mental afflictions. This practice of compassion will quell the fear of those who have so tragically died, and bring them peace and liberation from the illusion of life and death.

This peaceful Vajrapani practice was hidden as a terma and recently revealed in Tibet. Venerable Dru-gu Choegyal Rinpoche first taught this practice in New York just prior to 9/11. He has made an urgent request that all Buddhists engage in this practice.

We will listen to a recording of Rinpoche’s teaching and then practice together. All are welcome. Bring your heart of compassion for those who are dying on all sides.

If it is convenient, bring a cushion, though we can make do with what we have available.

If possible, send a brief email to nypractice@choegyalrinpoche.org to let us know if you intend to come – so we have an idea of how many to expect. There is no charge.

Send an email to nypractice@choegyalrinpoche.org with the subject line “subscribe” if you would like to be informed of future opportunities to learn this practice and to practice together.

Hope to see you soon! Sherab Nyingje / Will Boorstein (wrb@choegyalrinpoche.org)

DATE: WEEKLY on Mondays throughout the war . Next meeting is April 7th.

TIME:
